We have been planning our activities and currently only delivering 1-2-1 basis supporting local residents set up the online NHS app etc. We are set to meet with the project monitoring officer and go through our delivery plan and have the project paperwork training date set as well. By next quarter we should have a full breakdown and case study of the project. We have started delivering small group interventions.
The overall project outcomes are:

To increase the emotional health and well-being of children and for them to know and demonstrate more characteristics and qualities of healthy, safe, and respectful relationships.

The 6-week Real Respect primary programme was designed with the aim of being as age-appropriate, relevant, and culturally appropriate as possible. We take care, upon receiving referrals, to be aware of the spectrum of gender and make up of different family units in the cohort. We take guidance from the school and the children about their unique cultures and religions; we keep equality and diversity at the heart of the conversations. Also, very important from our prior learning working is that the discussions must be child led and children must feel emotionally and physically safe. We take care to respond in ways that could cause no shame or awkward embarrassment.

Real Respect interventions use developmentally age-appropriate material. We explore how we take personal responsibility in situations where we interact with other people, with a focus upon respecting both ourselves and others. We want participants to learn how to reflect upon their choices and consequences. Most importantly, we want participants to have safe and healthy experiences with other people and we our long term strategy is to contribute to reducing problematic sexual behaviours amongst children and young people via open minded, yet safely boundaried discussion spaces. We want participants to know who their support network is should they experience any difficulties or worries they need to talk about when it comes to love, relationships and sexual activity. We work closely with school/college/referrers throughout the programme and share any safeguarding or other concerns, should we have them.

We provide rehabilitation and mobility training and work with people utilising their residual vision effectively and safely in order to ensure individuals can live independent lives.

Relate counsellors work either with couples or individuals helping them to resolves their relationship difficulties whether they’re struggling through a bad patch, thinking of splitting up, trying to come to terms with a break up or maybe they keep choosing the wrong partner. Relate counsellors are experts in all these areas.

Relationship, parenting and lifeskills workshops aim to teach you the practical skills you need to deal with what life throws at you. You may be going through a divorce or separation, having trouble adjusting to being a parent or perhaps you just want to be more assertive. Relate workshops will give you the confidence to take charge of your life.

Football coaching - Oldbury United FC is a football club that delivers team sport for experiences footballers. Through positive activities that include football coaching, football competition, coach development and volunteer development we use sport to engage and transform lives.

The SHIP programme aims to address the health inequalities affecting residents of Sandwell. The programme is funded by a grant from Sandwell Council Public Health and has eleven delivery partners, who are providing activities and interventions with residents across the diverse communities of Sandwell. The SHIP programme has two key objectives:
• Mental health and wellbeing
• Preventing and managing long-term physical health conditions.

The Sandwell Language Network provides a programme of free, community-based English language learning support across the borough of Sandwell. The 2022-23 programme, SLN2, builds on the success of the first SLN programme and aims to tackle health and economic inequalities, reduce isolation and promote community cohesion through basic language skills learning across Sandwell.

Opportunity to participate in a variety of sports

Free qualified independent one to one person centred advocacy service supporting children and young people aged 5-18 to ensure their needs, rights and wishes are articulated to access and plan their individual needs.

We get stuck in with traditional scouting skills and gaining a wide variety of awards and badges. We also do loads of amazing activities, climbing, hiking, archery, pioneering, coasteering, caving, surfing and much more. We also become expert campers and learn to light and cook on fires and survive in the wild!

Gentle and acessible Chair Yoga, suitable for those with limited mobility or recovering from illness.

Relate counsellors can help where people are having problems with their sex life due to physical or emotional reasons.

CBO is delivering activities to address both streams. We will be delivering the following;

New cycling programme to help people to learn to ride a bike. The aim is to improve mental and physical health through an enjoyable new cycling hobby within your local community social group.

Using Makaton

We aim to focus in particular (but not exclusively) on access to skills and opportunities in the health and care sector – where there are occupational shortages but a high demand on services. We will work in partnership with Your Trust Charity (Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospital NHS Trust Charity). The purpose is to enable Sandwell residents to access these opportunities that will provide them, their families and communities with long-term employment and long term local health services.
