We support individuals with long term conditions or continuing care needs to participate in activities that support their health and well being. Activities include arts and crafts bible study (optional), bingo, music workshops and extend gentle exercise classes. We organise exchange visits across the country and an annual holiday . People who use our services have a hot nutritious meal and participate in health workshops, information sessions and other projects. We also provide advice and guidance and in some situation provide advocacy to enable participants to access services that will support their health and well being. Costs are competitive and transport is provided via community transport or ring and ride. This service is particularly suitable to older people of African and Caribbean origin however we do have individuals from other cultural groups access our service.

The YCA in Sandwell are delighted to announce the restart of our Lads and Dads swimming sessions at West Bromwich Leisure Centre beginning on Monday 4th September.
Please arrive early to register your attendance with YCA staff. Please take note of the following important details:
- Every Monday for 9 weeks
- 8:15pm – 9:15pm
- We have a maximum limit of 50 people per session.
- Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by their parent with a maximum of two children per adult. Children under 8 years old or those unable to swim must wear armbands and be kept within arm's length distance. Please note that entry to the pool may be refused if your child does not have armbands.
- The pool floor will initially be set at 125cm. However, if the session becomes crowded or if participants act unsafely in the water, we may lower the floor to 80cm for everyone's safety.
