A day service for people of all abilities who are experiencing loneliness or isolation, offering personalised support tailored to individual needs. The service provides door-to-door transport across most of Sandwell and includes personal care and assistance such as mobility support and feeding where required. Each guest receives a full assessment from the day care manager before attending to ensure their needs are met.
A typical day includes arrival refreshments (tea/coffee and toast), gentle exercise in the morning, followed by a range of activities. Lunch offers a choice of freshly prepared meals and desserts from a level five hygiene-rated kitchen. The afternoon includes further optional activities.
Activities include digital sessions, baking, arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes, games, karaoke, sing-alongs, and musical instruments.
A one-off trial session (11:30am–1:30pm) is available for £6, including a two-course meal and drink but no transport. Full-day attendance costs £51 per day. Support may be available for low-income households to apply for funding to help cover costs.
