Let's Talk Hope Crafty Cafe

By Yemeni Community Association in Sandwell

This initiative is designed to provide a therapeutic haven for individuals affected by cancer, with a focus on those undergoing ongoing treatment. Our goal is to combat social isolation and enhance overall well-being through a variety of craft activities.
We firmly believe that creative and artistic pursuits can play a significant role in achieving our mission. By offering a space for self-expression and fostering connections, we aim to reduce feelings of isolation and contribute positively to the lives of those facing the challenges of cancer.

Stepping into Digital

By North Smethwick Development Trust

Here at Brasshouse Community Centre, Age UK Sandwell are offering a free Stepping Into Digital (SID) programme aims to support you and make the most out of technology and the internet.

Whether you’re new to surfing online or in need of help or advice, their Digital Champions will be on hand to guide you. We offer free sessions, delivered over the phone, or online videos calls, one-to-one sessions or in groups – where safe to do so. From video calling family and friends, shopping online, to pursuing hobbies and interests, we are here to help, and get you “surfing” the internet safely!

Not got a device or internet connection? No problem! You can borrow a tablet and internet connection for up to 90 days (subject to availability) to get your journey underway. If at the end of the loan period you should wish to continue using the internet and appropriate device, we can guide you in the right direction.

To register your interest, simply give our activity team a call on 0121 437 0033 or email activities@ageuksandwell.org.uk, and we’ll connect you with your local Digital Champion!
