Specialist assistive equipment as well as advice and guidance on maintaining independence, within the home or in the community. Assessments are generally carried out by appointment and equipment is issued once a needs-led assessment has taken place. if you are deaf, hard of hearing, have a visual impairment or physical disability we can help you. For instance, for those with a hearing loss, we can provide hearing loops, flashing light doorbells and vibrating alarms, to overcome some of the everyday problems. For those with a visual impairment, we can provide such things as liquid level indicators, anti glare glasses, symbol canes and long canes. Where feasible, we can offer demonstrations of some of the equipment we have on our sites and can also give advice on other equipment and signpost you to providers, such as hearing aid support.
